The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood

And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,

And having perhaps the better claim,

Because it was grassy and wanted wear;

Though as for that the passing there

Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay

In leaves no step had trodden black.

Oh, I kept the first for another day!

Yet knowing how way leads on to way,

I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence:

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I --

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.

Bible: Let Us Read

Let's Look At The Bible part two

Friends, we're going to deal with some prophetic books this time. Prophecy is deep, rich, and beautiful.

Books of Prophecy:

Isaiah 53 "The grace of our Lord Yahshua Christ" (See Revelation 22:21 for that quote.)

Jeremiah 23:5-6 "a Righteous Branch" - Yahshua

Lamentations 5:19 In spite of the wickedness of the people, Yahweh remains the same.

Ezekiel 48:35 Yahweh dwelling with man

Daniel 12:2-3 the resurrection / the reward of the righteous

Hosea 14:9 walking in the Ways of Yahweh

Joel 2:27-29 the Holy Spirit / Yahweh dwelling with man

Amos 3:3 Sin and righteousness do NOT mix.

Obadiah 1:15 "As thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee;..."

Jonah 3:5 Oh that our nation would be humbled like that!

Micah 6:8 our duty

Nahum 1:1-8 Yahweh treats the wicked and the righteous differently.

Habakkuk 2:4 Have you heard of "The just shall live by faith"? Did you know where it was originally written?

Zephaniah 3:14-20 And people say that Yahweh had no grace in the "Old Testament"?

Haggai 1:7 How many of us are doing that?

Zechariah 9:9 A prophecy of our Humble Saviour

Malachi 3:6 Yahweh is the Same today as he was then.

Brothers and sisters, now that we have finished what is called the "Old Testament", next time we will be studying what is called the "Apocrypha". We believe that that is part of the Bible too. Most of it is included in the 1611 edition of the "King James Bible", or "Authorized Version".

Should We Judge Others?

Rebekah Josepha Coover -age 12 - -2/2002

Should we judge others? My friends, we ought to know. To start with, what is judging? When you pass a man on the street, one whose nose is up in the air, who is wearing one of those ties that you saw marked at a ridiculously high price, a gold chair is around his neck, a gold watch on his wrist, a gold ring on each finger, etc. etc., I am sure us "common people" would judge him as something like "haughtily wealthy". That is judging. For a less extreme example, when you see a young lady wearing a flowing white dress, with her hair modestly pinned up in the back, and a gentle smile on her face, you might think, "She looks wholesome." That is judging.

Not to give "Nave's Topical Bible" a bad name or anything (It is a very helpful resource.), but when I looked up "Judging" in it, it referred me to "Uncharitableness". I thought I'd put off my "Should We Judge?" study until later, but Yahweh changed my mind. I went ahead and looked up "Uncharitableness". Here are some of the verses I found.

Familiar with the scripture that condemns judging the mote (speck, particle) in your brother's eye when you've got a beam (plank) in your own eye? (Matthew 7:1-5) But we certainly aren't supposed to leave that beam in there. No. What does verse 5 say? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye: and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. So what are we supposed to do? We are to make sure that our own lives are at in a clean state, and then... then we are to judge others also.

How about John 7:24. It says, Judge not. O-K, let's stop there. No! Let's read the whole verse. Judge not according to appearance, but judge righteous judgement.

Let's read James 4:11-12. Speak not evil one of another (brethren:) he that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the Law, and judgeth the Law: but if thou judge the Law, thou art not a doer of the Law, but a judge. There is one LawGiver, who is able to save, and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another? What is this saying, my brethren and sisters? Friends, this is saying, "Don't make up a false story about your brother, and judge him as wrong, according to that story." It cannot mean that we can't judge others! Look at this letter that James is writing. It is a letter of exhortation and judgement. Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. (James 4:17) What is this but judgement?

My friends, I cannot tell you whether or not you should be judging others. I do not know your heart condition. I do not know what state your spirit is in, and how Yahweh looks at you. But let me tell you one thing: judgement should begin as "self judgement". First of all, we should judge our own selves. (Matt. 7:5) David, King of Israel, prayed this prayer: Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. ....... Hide Thy face from my sins; and blot out all mine iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O Yahweh; and renew a right spirit within me. (See Psalm 51) But what does he say a few verses down in the chapter, after praying for cleansing? He says, Then will I teach transgressors Thy Ways, and sinners shall be converted unto Thee. May we have "deep cleaning" from Yahweh, and may we share the joy and peace that comes from having a clean heart, with others.

"In The Hebrew Tongue"

The computer has a type font called "Hebrew", and it writes... Hebrew letters. I thought some Hebrew would be a nice addition to the newsletter; so for starters, here is our God's Name. Enjoy, the editress (Thankyou, R. Santangelo. You sent me Hebrew; through that, Yahweh inspired me to do this.)

(You will need a Hebrew font installed in your computer to read the Hebrew lettering below.  Otherwise it will just show up as English letters.)

hwhy = Yahweh            ucwhy = Yahshua

 A Friend

by Rebekah Josepha Coover - age 12 - 01/04/02

When the sun went down, behind the mountains,

A young boy, whose eyes were teary fountains,

Stood beneath the sky.

His friend had died, a friend who had been kind,

And made a great impression on his mind:

Why did Brother die?

Pete couldn't see why Brother had to die,

And he let out a long and mournful sigh.

Brother was so kind.

Brother had been a friend in time of need:

In Pete's heart he had planted some good seeds:

He was a rare find.

But there's another Friend who's good and true.

His Name is Yahshua, and He died for you,

So that you might live.

And Yahshua shall live for eternity.

He rose from the grave and He lives, you see:

Lasting Life He'll give.

So come to Him with your sorrow and care,

For all of your sadnesses He can bear:

He will care for you.

And though sometimes it may be very hard,

The devil, away from your heart, to ward,

Yah will help you through.

And Yahshua will be a Brother so true,

Though the whole world will hate and despise you,

So cling to Yahweh.

He will lead you along life's troubling road,

Oh, and He will take your burdensome load;

He is the Truth, the Way.

Where Are The Fathers?

by Rebekah Josepha Coover - 03/2002

"And Yahweh saw every thing that He had made, and, behold, it was very good." Genesis 1:31a

Oh, this world started out beautiful! Yahweh created man and woman, and placed them in the flourishing Garden of Eden. Everything was perfect! But then satan came in, shoved his thumb in, leaving a black mark. That black mark rapidly grew bigger, enclosing the whole world in a shroud of darkness. Today we see the world growing worse and worse.

One of this world's problems is that women are trying to take charge. Yahweh made the man to be the leader, the protector, the husband (house band) that unified the family and created security. What has happened. This new movement called "feminism", started by satan, and carried on by his followers, is pushing the men out.

There was a day when men were the leaders. Speaking of Abraham, Yahweh said in Genesis 18:19, For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the Way of Yahweh, to do justice and judgment; that Yahweh may bring upon Abraham that which He hath spoken of him. Abraham commanded and directed his household. He was the leader! Why aren't men the leaders today?!

My grandmother was saying that she read a statistic that 75% of the young men who have police records are those who come from homes with no fathers. Isn't that horrible?! Isn't it heartbreaking?! Psalm 127:3 Lo, children an heritage from Yahweh; the fruit of the womb is His Reward. People do not treat children as a special heritage anymore. They destroy them! Our society is training men to be women and women to men! It's awful! From the time they're babies, children are trained to be what Yahweh does not want them to be!

So many couples are getting divorced now a days. It is so sad! Children are being raised in an insecure environment, visiting Mom, and visiting Dad, with no home! It is so sad! And many children are being raised by "Mom", with no Dad, with the parents hating each other, and training the children to do likewise. This is a female society! Women are becoming preachers, lawyers, doctors, judges, and everything but what Yahweh meant them to be, that is, mothers. Men are pushed down the drain, viewed as unnecessary objects that women can do without. Oh, where has our moral gone? Where are the fathers? Where are the leaders? Everything is upside down.

Fathers, shun evil! Shun the "man-ish" women, and the "woman-ish" men! Be true men! Make a difference! You may not be able to change the world, but you can make a difference, a difference in your own family. Be as Yahweh said Abraham was in Genesis 18:19. Command and direct your family! Do justice and judgment. Make a difference! There aren't many true men now a days. Be one! Follow the plan of the Bible, and teach your children how important a father is! You will be blessed, I can assure you. You will be greatly rewarded. Revelation 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer. Behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried, and ye shall have tribulation ten days; be thou faithful unto death, and I will give a Crown of Life.

Prayer Request Corner

Please, please pray for my grampa, my mother's dad. The other night, we took a Sabbath drive. I was laying in the back seat of the van, and I got to thinking about what it must be like to never talk to Yahweh, to never have sweet fellowship with him. In the back seat, I cried for my grampa. I will not call him an atheist, for an atheist is one who believes that there isn't a God: He has to know that Yahweh is real, he has to. I'm sure he does, and he hates Him. Oh Grampa, will your hard heart ever be broken? I thought about Grampa surrendering, giving up his stubborn will, finding peace. Oh Yahweh, will it ever happen? He is so stubborn! My friends, please pray. "And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and Yahweh shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." (James 5:16) My grampa is in great need of spiritual healing. Please pray! The Day is drawing near.

Please pray for Matthew Nesser. He is having medical difficulties, and it is thought that he has severe cancer. Pray that Yahweh would give him wisdom as to what to do.

Pray for Paul and Linda Woods. Paul is ill, and Linda is still suffering from cancer.

Have a prayer request? Feel free to share it with us.

Housewives'/Mothers' Page

Dear ladies, the following is a selection from "The words of King Lemuel, the prophecy that his mother taught him." Compare the marks of a true woman to today's women. Oh, this is truly a decadent society. May we, as Yahweh's daughters, live by these following words.

(Note: This is written in "old time" style. For your better understanding of this selection, please remember that "v" is used where we would use a "u", "u" is used where we would use a "v", you will find "i" where you would use "j", and "s" is sometimes replaced with an "f". There will be other minor differences of spelling too, but if you remember these ones, you should do fairly well.)

Who can finde a vertuous woman? for her price farre aboue Rubies. The heart of her husband doeth safely trust in her, so that he shall haue no need of spoile. She will doe him good, and not euill, all the dayes of her life. She seeketh wooll and flaxe, and worketh willingly with her hands. She is like the merchants ships, she bringeth her food from afarre. Shee riseth also while it is yet night, and giueth meate to her household, and a portion to her maydens. She considereth a field, and buyeth it with the fruit of her handes she planteth a Vineyard She girdeth her loynes with strength, and strengtheneth her armes. She perceiueth that her merchandise good, her candle goeth not out by night. She layeth her handes to the spindle, and her handes hold the distaffe. She stretcheth out her hand to the poore, yea she reacheth foorth her handes to the needy. She is not afraid of the snow for her houshold: for all her houshold cloathed with scarlet. She maketh herselfe couerings of tapestrie; her cloathing silke and purple. Her husband is knowen in the gates, when he sitteth among the Elders of the land. She maketh fine linnen, and selleth, and deliuereth girdles unto the merchant. Strength and honour her cloathing; and she shall reioyce in time to come. She openeth her mouth with wisedome; and in her tongue the law of kindnesse. She looketh well to the wayes of her houshoulde, and eateth not the bread of idlenesse. Her children arise vp, and call her blessed; her husband, and he praiseth her. Many daughters haue done vertuously, but thou excellest them all. Fauour deceitfull, and beautie vaine: a woman feareth the LORD, she shalbe praised. Giue her of the fruit of her hands, and let her owne workes praise her in the gates.

And now, dear sister, if you should like to read this again, I am certain you have it in your Bible, in Proverbs 31. Or if you would like to read it in the "old time" writing, it is in the 1611 Edition of the King James Version.

 Love One Another part II

Snoring Problems and Sleeping Parties

by Mama (Amy K.) Coover

It's been quite a while since I told you part 1 of this story so let me begin by refreshing your memory up until this point. In part 1, the Klondike family was happily preparing to go and bring their beloved Aunt Tipsy home with them to live permanently with them, as her husband had died. Luke and Loretta were just sure that it would be the ideal thing having Aunt Tipsy live with them. Since their uncle had died, Aunt Tipsy was lonely and they thought she needed them as much as they KNEW that they needed her. So they brought her home. In part 1, two little things happened that began to make the children think that perhaps everything wouldn't be as ideal as they had thought. Do you remember what those two LITTLE things were? Well, the first one was that it was a whole lot more crowded on the back seat with Aunt Tipsy between the two children than the children had ever imagined. Now that's really no big thing at all, but the children were learning to be flexible and adapt to a new situation. Sometimes that SEEMS to be very difficult, when really it's just a part of life that we all must grow into if we're going to be happy. And the second thing that happened on the car ride home, was that Luke blurted out that he smelled something TERRIBLE! That terrible smell turned out to be either Aunt Tipsy's Bengay cream , her nasal spray or her nasal infection. But this, too, they overcame when they arrived home and "aired Aunt Tipsy out" before taking her in the house. "Airing her out" was little Luke's suggestion, to which the whole family, including their Aunt, had a good laugh. Do you remember what they made together for supper that first night? It had been their Uncle's favorite dish. It was candied licorice-spice dandelion greens! And after a sweet evening of fellowship over supper, reminiscing over old times, part 1 closed with Luke and Loretta saying their prayers and asking Yahweh to forgive them for complaining about the little things and doubting his will in this new move. And they also thanked him for being so good to allow their Aunt to come live with them. So that was part 1. And now begins part 2.

The children had no sooner finished their prayers than they drifted off quickly to sleep. But they didn't stay asleep very long before they were awakened by a very loud snoring sound. They both popped out of bed and came out in the hallway where they met their Mother and Father who had been awakened by the same sound.

"What is that awful noise, Mother?", asked Loretta.

"Oh, it's just your Aunt....snoring, dear. She doesn't realize she's doing it. I really don't know what to do about it, either, dears."

"Well, let's just go back to bed and try our best to get some sleep," offered their Daddy. "We don't want to be selfish and disturb Tipsy's sleep. I'm quite certain that this was a very big day for her and that she needs her rest. I'm sure we'll all get used to it in time.....at least I HOPE we do." And with that Mother and Daddy kissed the children goodnight, and went back to bed.

"You know, Daddy's right," said Loretta encouragingly, "And besides, I think it actually sounds kind of.....cute."

Luke's tired little face looked up at Loretta's doubtingly. "I don't know, Loretta," is all he said before turning around and going back to his bed.

                            *******************************************************

Morning dawned bright and cheerful in the Klondike home. Despite the little snoring episode, everyone got an excellent night's rest, and by the time everyone got to the kitchen table for breakfast, the incident was almost totally forgotten. That is, it WAS almost forgotten until Aunt Tipsy sprung her suggestion on the family.

"I have a lovely idea for us all!", she exclaimed. "This evening, as you know, the weekly Sabbath comes in. Wouldn't it be lovely to get the ordinary preparation work done and then do a little more preparing to have an evening campfire and.....well, I was thinking at first of a camp-out, but it's been awful chilly the past few nights....I'd hate to have that dreaded sinus infection act up again. So, what do you all say if we have a camp-IN, a slumber party of sorts. We could all get sleeping bags and camp-in on the family room floor together. We could share favorite scripture verses with one another and tell Sabbath stories like we used to do when your Uncle Harold was still with us. He always loved that. So....what do you all think???"

The same thought ran common through all of their brains. How would they EVER get ANY sleep if they were to TRY sleeping in the SAME ROOM with somebody who snored so loudly? But of course, they all knew that the campfire, scripture sharing and Sabbath stories WOULD BE GREAT FUN. So, since more seemed positive than negative, they all responded in unison, "Great idea, Aunt Tipsy!" And the preparations began.

That morning and afternoon went by exceptionally fast, and before they knew it, they were all sitting around the campfire roasting expensive Kosher marshmallows over the open fire. Since the price of clean marshmallows had gone up, it had to be a very special occasion to roast them over a campfire. And a special occasion it was indeed!

Following the campfire, they enjoyed scripture sharing and Sabbath stories, and when the evening came to a close, would you believe that not one of them remembered a thing about Aunt Tipsy's snoring and they all fell fast asleep and slept peacefully through the night undisturbed.......not because there was no snoring in the house, because the fact was, unbeknownst to them all, dear old Aunt Tipsy snored like a freight train ALL NIGHT LONG. Could it be that Daddy's HOPE had become REALITY in so short a time? The answer is a definite "YES" because they never minded their Aunt's cute snoring again from that evening forward.

Well, that concludes Part 2. In the next issue, we'll meet up with the Klondike family again and see how they're getting along. Doesn't it almost make you wish that YOU had an Aunt Tipsy to come live in your family?

Science With The Bible

Space Program Proving Scripture

The following account was sent to us over e-mail, by H.C. "I thought you guys might find this very interesting! Shalom, HC" We did find it interesting, and I hope you will as well.

For all the scientist out there and for all the students who have a hard time convincing these people regarding the truth of the Bible... here's something that shows YAHWEH's Awesome creation and shows that He is still in Control.

Did you know that the space program is busy proving that what has been called "myth" in the Bible, is true?

                                 *************************

Mr. Harold Hill, President of the Curtis Engine Company in Baltimore, Maryland and a consultant in the space program, relates the following development. "I think one of the most amazing things that God has for us today happened recently to our astronauts and space scientists at Greenbelt, Maryland.

They were checking the position of the sun, moon, and planets out in space, where they would be 100 years and 1,000 years from now. We have to know this so we won't send a satellite up and have it bump into something later on in its orbits. We have to lay out the orbits in terms of the life of the satellite, and where the planets will be so the whole thing will not bog down.

They ran the computer measurement back and forth over the centuries and it came to a halt. The computer stopped and put up a red signal, which meant that there was something wrong either with the information fed into it or with the results as compared to the standards. They called in the service department to check it out and they said, "What's wrong?"

Well, they found there is a day missing in space in elapsed time. They scratched their heads and tore their hair. There was no answer.

Finally, a Christian man on the team said, "You know, I remember in the Bible about the sun standing still." While they didn't believe him, they didn't have an answer either, so they said, "Show us."

He got a Bible and went back to the Book of Joshua, where they found a pretty ridiculous statement for any one with "common sense". There they found Yahweh saying to Joshua, "Fear them not, I have delivered them into thy hand; there shall not a man of them stand before thee."

Joshua was concerned because he was surrounded by the enemy, and if darkness fell, they would overpower them. So Joshua asked Yahweh to make the sun stand still! That right. "The sun stood still and the moon stayed - and hasted not to go down about a whole day!" (Joshua 10:12-13)

The astronauts and the scientists said, "There is the missing day!" They checked the computers, going back into the time it was written, and found it was close, but not close enough. The elapsed time that was missing back in Joshua's day was 23 hours and 20 minutes - not a whole day.

They read the Bible and there it was - "about (appoximately) a day".

These little words in the Bible are important, but they were still in trouble because if you cannot account for 40 minutes you'll still be in trouble 1,000 years from now. Forty minutes had to be found because it can be multiplied many times over in orbits.

As the Christian employee thought about it, he remembered somewhere in the Bible where it said the sun went BACKWARDS. The scientists told him he was out of his mind, but they got out the Book and read thee words in 2 Kings, that told of the following story: Hezekiah, on his deathbed, was visited by the prophet Isaiah who told him that he was not going to die. Hezekiah asked for a sign as proof. Isaiah said, "Do you want the sun to go ahead 10 degrees?" Hezekiah said, "It is nothing for the sun to go ahead 10 degrees, but let the shadow return backward 10 degrees."

Isaiah spoke to Yahweh, and Yahweh brought the shadow ten degrees BACKWARD! Ten degrees is exactly 40 minutes! Twenty-three hours and 20 minutes in Joshua, plus 40 minutes in 2 Kings make the missing the day in the universe! Isn't it amazing?

Hey, does anybody have something scientific for this page? I would greatly appreciate it if you would submit it for publication!

Letters from a friend (from Burma, Kachinland):

1-25-2002

Dear sister Rebekah,

Greetings to you from Kachinland. I have gladly received your Newspaper - third quarter issue. I very much enjoy to read it. In the passed years times, we Kachin people never heard about the sacred names - Yahweh and Yahshua. In your Lovely Newspaper, I find the writing of sacred Names.

Last year ago, one of my American pen pals - Mrs. S. T., first sent me this wonderful message - the sacred Names "Yahweh and Yahshua Messiah". Today we all are very young in the Biblical knowledges and Bible Truths. We need to learn more Bible Lessons.

My pen pal's address is ................ .................

I very much appreciate you for your good service of God. You are very young to me, but you can do more work than me. I am very poor in English writing. Today I serve Yahweh's word here by a few amount of our tithe offerings.

Now I am planing to open a church school and a Bible school for the poor children. Today in Kachinland, many hundred thousands children can not attend school because of poorness.

Every year I sponsor to the poor students of my church members. ........................................

When we open our church school here, we will call the poor children, and we teach English, Bible lessons, health, Agriculture, maths, music ...etc. Kachinland is situated between China and India.

At present time, I send many Sabbath tracts and other literatures to China border and Tibet border. My vision is that many lost souls will accept the Bible Truths very soon.

May God bless you and your ministry very abundantly.

Very Sincerely Your's,

Pastor L. B. – Frontier Evangelist

KACHINLAND.

7-1-2002

Dear sister Rebekah,

Greetings to you from Kachinland; very small country in Asia. Kachinland has 4 adjacent countries: -

1. To the North - - - Tibet.

2. To the South - - - Burma.

3. To the East - - - China.

4. To the West - - - India.........etc.

It is rainy season in Kachinland; the heavy rain comes every day here. In Kachinland, Jingpho, Maru, Lashi, Azi, Rawang, Lisu are major tribes; and Kadu, Kanan, Tharung, Tibetan are minor tribes. Now I have a great duty to tell others about the Bible Truths and the new Kingdom of Yahweh. Since last year ago, we also use "Sacred Nems" Yahweh and Yahshua Messiah.

I very much appreciate you for your good articles and your lovely newspaper. I very much enjoy to read your newspaper. Because, I have had many spiritual knowledges and strengths. We observe weekly Sabbath and Yahweh's Holy Days. In this year-2002, I purchased a big compound use for Bible Training Center. My Bible School will be started from November to April; it is only 6 months course.

In rainy season, communication and transportation are so bad in Kachinland. From Novemeber up to April is the best time.

I like very much Hymnal Songs. "Because Yahshua Lives" When you have extra funds, please send me a cassette tape. I want to use it for my Bible Training School.

The previous month of [5]/2002, I was in Thailand for two weeks. I gathered some Thai believers in Mae Sot; and we celebrated Pentecost there very happily.

Kachinland and China are very adjacent countries. Now I have some mission fields in the China border areas. Now I serve Yahweh's work here by a few amount of our tithe offerings.

Please remember the work in Kachinland.

May Yahweh bless you and your ministries around the world very abundantly.

Your elder brother in the services of Yahweh and Yahshua Messiah,

Pastor L. B.

KACHINLAND.

Dear readers, please pray for Brother L. B. and his work for the Lord. In Christ, the editress, Rebekah Josepha

Our Journey Home

by Rebekah Josepha Coover - age 12 - 01/26/02

I was out in the yard after dark. I looked up at the sky, the moon, the soft glow that was cast about the moon. I looked up through the branches of the trees. "What spiritual thing could I compare this to?" was my question. Then I saw it clearly. Here on earth, our vision is not exactly clear. The Bible tells us that we see dimly, as through a glass, but someday we shall see Yahweh face to face, and know even as we are known. Those tree branches and twigs, which draw lines across the moon are like the lines that our physical lives draw. Here on earth, we cannot see Yahweh as clearly as we one day shall. Sure, we know what He is like, but He is not... as understandable as He one day shall be.

I returned to the house. As I neared the house, I got past the tree, and could see the moon without the tree hindering me. How true! The closer we get to HOME, the clearer Yahweh will be to us. And when we get HOME... it will too wonderful for us even to imagine now.

Poor?

by Rebekah Josepha Coover - age 12 - 01 / 24 / 02

A young girl was washing dishes when she exclaimed in a most perturbed tone, "Mother, I do wish people would stop drawing water when I'm drawing it! It makes the water come out so slow! And I can't practically get any hot!"

Mother thought a moment, then spoke. The calm answer that she gave was one of wisdom. "My dear, perhaps you should like to go to another country, where they do not have water spigots, where all the water is gotten cold, from the stream."

A middle aged man kissed his wife goodbye, and hurried out to his car. He was going to be late for work if he did not hurry! He jumped in the car and went to start it. The motor chugged a little bit, then stopped. He tried three more times, and with the same result. He jumped out of the vehicle, slammed the door, and strode back into the house. "Charlotte," he said to his wife, "The car won't start... piece of junk. I guess I'll have to go in the old car. It's a bit more reliable I suppose."

"Honey." His wife touched him on the arm. "Don't be so bothered. Be thankful that you have the other car. In some countries, people walk everywhere, or go by way of a horse-drawn carriage."

Mother was tired. She hurriedly put on Baby's night clothes. The three year old came into the room, bringing her teddy bear. "Look, Mama, Bear's all ready for bed."

"Susy," Mother snapped, as she put Baby into his sleeper, "I don't have time to look at teddy bears. Go upstairs. I'll be up in a minute to get you to bed."

Susy left sadly. Mother glanced at her, and a still, small voice said, "Mother, some people can't have children. Appreciate your's."

A young boy looked sadly at his bike. It was a good bike, just the right size, and in good shape, but it wasn't new. "I need a new one," he whispered. "All the guys I know have new bikes. Couldn't Dad afford to get me something better than a yard sale item?"

"What's wrong?" called the neighbor boy. "You look bothered." He walked towards the troubled boy.

Johnny looked up. His neighbor was a Chinese youth who had recently moved here. "Oh, it's just my bike's not a new one," he confided.

"Johnny." Ching Pau touched Johnny's arm. "I'm fourteen now. You see that bike leaning against our house? That's the first bike I've ever had."

How often do we find ourselves falling into these same kind of traps? We've got life good. Maybe someday, when it's taken away, we'll realize that. Or would you rather realize it now, and appreciate it while you have it?

We were sewing with our sewing machine, and things kept going wrong. Grandma said, "I'll sure be happy when your mother can get a manual." The way she said it, it sounded like, "can get Emmanuel." That got me thinking. A manual tells us how to work a machine; Emmanuel shows us how to Live.    -the editress

Enjoying One Another Rebekah Josepha Coover

Mom and Dad had gone out for a little bit one evening, and us young people were at the house. Mom called home. She said she was just checking to make sure we were alright, and I told her I'd check on Matthew, who was in the tub. After hanging up, I went upstairs. "Matthew, are you alright."

    "No."

    "What's wrong?"

    "I'm drowning."

"Oh.... Well, who helped you out?"

    "No one, I'm still drowning."

"Oh, well I hope you'll be alright." (knowing he didn't mean it)

A while later, I was sitting in our home library, working on the computer. Matthew walked through the room. I asked him about how he had gotten out from drowning. He turned around. "Oh, I forgot to tell you. After you came and asked me if I was alright, and I tried to tell you I was drowning and you just left me, I finally realized that 'Yahweh helps them that helps themselves', and I pulled the plug and drained the water, and I'm not drowning anymore." :-)

Is Divorce Necessary?

excerpts from a letter that Mom wrote to somebody

.......we are happily married, and I know that not all couples are. But marriage, like everything else in life, is largely what you make it. In the rare intances where a couple TRULY CANNOT dwell together as man and wife, remaining single or that dreaded word "celibate" is NOT some kind of a plague. But there's so many people running to the divorce courts saying they CAN'T live together anymore. If they went into marriage truly committed to their marriage VOWS, I wonder if they still would be physically unable to stay married. Alot of the marriage problems are due to the divorce prep-couse all the couples took called dating. (Admittedly, we signed up for that curse (course) too, but thanks to the Holy Spirit, we got a good brain washing. Contrary to the bad reputation it's somehow gotten- "turning good into evil" -a good brain washing would be an excellent remedy for the ills of many!) What if they were the last remaining man and woman on the earth......could they work things out then? If we looked at it more in that perspective...."My husband is the last remaining man on earth (for me), and the other way around, too.", we'd perhaps find a whole new world of answers to our problems.

By the way, did you know that "happily ever after" is not a Bible reference. This may sound simplistic, but let's be realistic.......it's the closing words to every good FAIRY TALE. Christian marriages are NOT fairy tales. We can be happy, don't get me wrong, but happiness does not lie in having all of our whims and desires gratified, but in laying down our life and our will for the lives of others and for the will of Yahweh. Even if one's mate truly is a terrible problem, if we put the above into practice, there's a good chance they'll come around.....in HIS time.

.....In the event that a person either remains single from the start or becomes divorced due to very unfortunate circumstances......there have been many people that Yahweh has used tremendously and in whose lives he has truly worked miraculous things...... amazingly all without (them being married).

Remember friends, we should first be married to Yahweh. If we do that first, and then get married, it will work out a lot better than the other way around. -the editress

My God

by Rebekah Josepha Coover - 03/01/2002Do you worship the sun? I worship the Son of Yahweh. Does anybody worship water? I worship the Living Water. For you Egyptians who worship cats, cats are in the same family as lions. I worship the Lion of Judah. Do flowers appeal to you? I worship the Rose of Sharon and Lily of the Valley. How about you astrologers? I worship the Bright and Morning Star. You may be surprised, but inspite of all this, I have One God.

Do you have any leftovers that you don't know what to do with? We welcome them.

"Finally, my brethren, be strong in Yahweh, and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of Yahweh, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of Yahweh, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."

Ephes. 6:10-1
